Meet Me!

Hello! I am Mrs. Brown - this will be my 4th year at Rocklin Academy Gateway and the 5th year in my teaching career!

 

I have been with RAFOS since 2022 starting as a substitute teacher on all 3 of our campuses. Next, I completed my student teaching at RA Turnstone in 5th grade and right after transitioned to 4th grade at Gateway. I made my way back to 5th grade in 2025 & plan to never leave!

 

I graduated from the University of Nevada Reno with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing and completed my Masters Degree with Western Governors University in the Fall of 2023.

 

I live in Auburn with my husband, my son, and our dog - where we have a beautiful garden and chicken coop! I am still learning how to homestead in my free time and harvesting all of my own fruits/veggies. My son will be in 3rd grade at Gateway and I love being on the same campus as him! Becoming a teacher has been a career change and finding my purpose has been such a rewarding experience. Teaching has always been on the list of potential careers, but motherhood helped me realize this is exactly where I am meant to be.

 

My classroom is a safe space for students to be themselves while also building a class of respect among a diverse group of peers. I enjoy finding fun and engaging ways for the class to interact and explore everything that 5th grade has to offer! I value and appreciate open communication between myself, students and their families as we move through the school year. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
