Bio

Hello, my name is Cyle Canete and I am excited to be entering my second year as a teacher at Rocklin Academy Gateway. 

 

I was born and raised in Stockton, California and moved up here just to teach at this wonderful school. I obtained my Bachelor's of Science in Social Science Education and transferred my teaching credential from North Dakota State University. I also obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching from Humphrey's University. I will be going into my 7th year teaching, but have worked in education at some capacity for 15 years.

 

Prior to teaching with Rocklin Academy Gateway, I gave back to my home community by teaching in Stockton for the beginning of my career. I look to bring in my experiences in building relationships to build a safe, engaging space for all students.

 

As the 7th grade history teacher, I look forward to taking the 7th graders on their journey around the world learning medieval history. I look forward to a wonderful school year!
