Hello! My name is Lexi Ruiz and I am so excited to be entering into my third year of teaching at Rocklin Academy Gateway. I graduated from Sacramento State University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. After this, I obtained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Teach, where I had the wonderful opportunity to complete all of my student teaching hours here at Rocklin Academy Gateway. I have been a first grade teacher the last two years, and I am thrilled to be making the exciting switch to Kindergarten!

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, baking, reading, doing Pilates, and hanging out with my pets! As an educator, I strongly believe all students can learn at high levels and it is our job as educators to build relationships with students so they feel comfortable and safe in the classroom. When students have a strong rapport with their teachers, they feel excited about learning and coming to school each day. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and see what we can accomplish this year!
