My name is Gina Moon. This will be my Eight year at Rocklin Academy Gateway. This year I will be using my passion for the arts teaching Art 1 to seventh and eighth graders in our middle school.  I will also be using my heart for raising student voice to support our student leaders.  I have been an educator for twenty-three years. I received a multiple subject teaching credential, as well as my Art credential from Sacramento State University. I have taught Fourth Grade, Sixth Grade, Seventh Grade, High School, and K-6 grade Art.   I am a passionate teacher who believes in the Core Knowledge model and the benefits it holds for our students, families, and teachers.

 

I was born and raised in Sacramento and have resided in Roseville now for over twenty years. I have been married for 23 years and have two wonderful boys, Ethan (19) and Noah (16). In my free time, I enjoy creating art and being outdoors with my children. I enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, exploring, and being anywhere where there is water. 

 

I can't wait to see what this year has in store. I look forward to working closely with our middle school team and the amazing families that make up our school community. I am a firm believer that building amazing connections produces the best results. Here is to a fabulous year!
