Hello, my name is Karin Georgeson, and I am proud to be entering my 8th year teaching physical education at Rocklin Academy Gateway. My team and I are excited to work with students at Gateway to promote healthy activity, wellness, and FUN this year in PE. We are committed to providing a safe environment for our students to grow in areas of health, athletics, fitness, rhythm & movement, and much more.

 

I grew up in Minnesota and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. I moved to Rocklin 24 years ago, earned my multiple subject teaching credential in 2003, my physical education credential in 2021, and a Master of Science in Curriculum & Instruction in 2024. My husband and I have three boys aged 28, 22, and 17, and recently welcomed our first granddaughter. They keep us busy at the soccer fields, powerlifting competitions, biking, hiking, and swimming in our backyard pool. We love Rocklin and enjoy the sense of community we have felt while enjoying our family.

 

I enjoy reading and writing as a hobby, and I love being active and healthy. I look forward to working with my students and helping them foster a love for lifelong health and fitness.
