Hello, my name is Catherine Niedzwiecki, and I am incredibly excited to continue being a part of the Rocklin Academy community for another year as an Enrichment Support Specialist!

I always knew my passion was to teach! As a teenager, I babysat, tutored, and taught swim lessons. After graduating from CSU, Chico, with a BA in Liberal Studies, I went on to receive my teaching credential from CSU, East Bay. I spent the first six years of my teaching career in Oakland, California, in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade.

In the summer of 2014, my husband and I made the decision to move to Placer County from the Bay Area. I became a founding teacher at Gateway, where I taught 4th grade for five years and 5th grade for two years. I am now excited to continue my role as an Enrichment Support Specialist for a 4th year.

Since living in the area, we expanded our family by welcoming fellow gators, my 8-year-old daughter, and my 4-year-old son!  As a family, we love exploring our community and going on adventures. We are huge Disney fans and love to craft! Most of our weekends are spent hiking or creating something as a family. Currently, we are building a one-of-a-kind doll house together and, of course, planning our next Disney trip!

I KNOW that every student can learn and be highly successful. In my classroom, I create a safe learning environment where students have fun learning and love being challenged. Together, we build a strong learning community that includes students and their families inside and outside the classroom. I look forward to another great year!
