My name is Leslie Levine-McGhie, and I am an Enrichment Support Specialist at Rocklin Academy Gateway’s Middle School.  This school year will mark my twentieth (and final) year in education. I joined Rocklin Academy in 2014 when we opened Gateway  after teaching kindergarten and second grade in Sacramento for thirteen years.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I attended CSU Sacramento and graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration/Human Resource Management, and worked in the Banking industry for 25 years.  When our son started kindergarten, I reduced my hours at work so I could volunteer in his classroom.  The time I spent there quickly became the highlight of my work week, and I decided to return to CSUS to obtain my Multiple Subject teaching credential.  During the time I was teaching in Sacramento, I returned to CSUS yet again, and earned my Masters of Arts Degree in Education - curriculum and instruction.

My husband and I have lived in Roseville for the past 38 years.  We are the proud parents of one (adult) son.   My other interests include just about any outdoor activity (especially hiking), and the nearer I am to the ocean, the better.  My whole family are avid fans of local sports teams (The SF Giants, Sacramento Kings, and Golden State Warriors), but we enjoy pretty much all sports  - anything from cycling to football.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my teaching career, and am excited to once again have the opportunity to provide academic support and instruction to our students for the upcoming school year.
