About Me

I am happy to be returning to Gateway for a second year!

My background is in Social Science (BA) and I recently earned my Master’s in Teaching researching the effect of AI summary tools on student learning, skills, and self-esteem. I also hold an English credential.  I previously taught elementary at a private school, completed my student teaching at Mesa Verde High School, and currently teach English, History, and Pop Culture in seventh and eighth grade. 

I have been working with children and youth for 10 years in various capacities: teaching multiple subjects including government and economics, volunteering in children’s VAPA programs and summer camps, as well as providing opportunities for youth leadership and charity fundraising. I am passionate about educating the next generation of leaders and providing an equitable, safe,  and engaging learning environment for all students.
