Bio

Hi there! My name is Mrs. Bunker and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade again this year! This is my 2nd year at Rocklin Academy Gateway. Over the past 12 years, I have taught so many different grade levels from 3rd grade to 6th grade, but 3rd grade has always felt like home! 

I am originally from Yakima, Washington in the Pacific Northwest. I moved to California to attend California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA where I got my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and met my amazing husband. I then started living, teaching, and pursuing my masters in Los Angeles, CA at Loyola Marymount University where I earned my Master's in Elementary Education and Multiple Subjects Credential. 

My husband joined the US Navy and we traveled and moved all around the United States for 8 years until he left the Navy in 2025. We then moved here to Roseville to be close to our family. We have two amazing children, Brooks (4) and Liam (1) who bring so much joy to our lives. You will find us all over the area at sporting events, hiking, riding bikes, and spending as much time outside as we can! We love being here in the area and calling Rocklin Academy our homebase. 

I can't wait for another amazing year! I am excited to meet you all and build our classroom family for the year. Building community and togetherness is one of the most important things in our classroom to make it feel like home. We are going to have an amazing year!!
