Hello Rocklin Academy Gateway Families! My name is Jen Rasmussen, and I’ve been teaching kindergarten for 5 years.  Prior to teaching in a classroom, I worked in various different educational settings, including a zoo, an aquarium, and a school of outdoor education. I love being outdoors camping and hiking, and try to bring nature into the classroom as much as possible. 

I graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, and received a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. I have been married for 20 years and have lived around the country and overseas with my husband who serves in the U.S. Navy.  I have a 13 year old son who is in 8th grade Rocklin Academy Gateway.

I’m looking forward to another amazing year in kindergarten!
