Rachel McCreary

Hello! My name is Rachel McCreary and I am so excited to be entering into my second year of teaching at Rocklin Academy Gateway!

I graduated from Sacramento State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I taught music and choir classes for 2 years in Colfax. I obtained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Teach in 2021 and I had the wonderful opportunity to complete most of my student teaching hours here at Rocklin Academy Gateway! 

As an educator, I believe my biggest role in the classroom is to ensure that every child feels safe, valued, and welcomed. Young students will develop a love for learning and coming to school when they feel that their voice is heard and prioritized in the classroom. Along with this, I believe that by focusing on students’ strengths and assets, I can create a learning environment that allows every student to thrive.  

I look forward to meeting everyone and can’t wait for an amazing year!
