Biography
My career as a transitional kindergarten teacher at Rocklin Academy Gateway, now entering its third year, is built upon over two decades of diverse teaching experience. I've had the privilege of guiding learners from preschool to middle school, and importantly, served as a reading specialist for immigrants and adults, empowering those who were building literacy skills from the ground up. This rich background fuels my profound love for "the littles" and my unwavering commitment to making their first school experience truly magical and positive.
I believe these foundational years are crucial, and I strive to create a classroom where curiosity thrives and every child feels seen and valued. My comprehensive educational background includes a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies (2003), and a Multi-Subject Credential (2003), a Master's in Education (2009), an English Supplementary Credential (2015), and an Early Childhood Special Education Credential (2020). This extensive expertise allows me to bring a holistic and empathetic approach to early learning, ensuring each student builds a strong, joyful foundation for their educational journey.
