Bio

Hello Families,

My name is Laura Hamblett and I teach first grade here at Rocklin Academy Gateway. I started teaching in 2001 in Marin County, CA.  I have taught almost every elementary grade over the years and I love the early elementary grades the most!

Just after Covid my family relocated to Roseville and we are enjoying our new life here. We are a blended family with 5 kids, a turtle, a handful of pet fish, and a labradoodle named Teddy Graham Crackers.  One of my stepdaughters graduated a couple years ago from Bennington College in Vermont and is living in Portland, Maine teaching art. My other stepdaughter is in college at Fresno State, and my three are still at home.  My daughter is a senior at Woodcreek High School and my twin sons are sophomores also at Woodcreek. It’s a busy life but the best one I could have imagined for us. I look forward to meeting you and your student in August.
