Bio

Hello Families,

My name is Laura Hamblett and I teach first grade here at Rocklin Academy Gateway. I started teaching in 2001 in Marin County, CA.  I have taught almost every elementary grade over the years and I love the early elementary grades the most!

A few years ago my family relocated to Roseville and we are enjoying our new life here. We are a blended family with 5 kids and a labradoodle named Teddy Graham Crackers.  One of my stepdaughters graduated from Bennington College in Vermont last summer and is living in Chicago. My other stepdaughter is in college at Fresno State, and my three are still at home.  My daughter is a junior at Woodcreek High School and my twin sons are freshman at Woodcreek. It’s a busy life but the best one I could have imagined for us. I look forward to meeting you and your student in August.
