Hello Eighth Grade Students and Families,
On April 24th, you received a message offering the opportunity for 8th grade students to submit a Positive/Funny/Inspiring quote to appear under their portrait in the yearbook. This is something new and we are pleased to say that we have received some really wonderful and appropriate quotes.
There were a few situations in which we identified as opportunities to provide additional clarification for our students. Because of this, we are allowing those students whose quotes have not been accepted an opportunity to resubmit them in accordance with the additional clarifications.
For example, we cannot accept quotes that include put downs of self or others. We also cannot accept references to movie or TV clips (for example, Season X, Episode X, Minute X), as these can be difficult to review and approve. We are contacting the individual students separately to provide an opportunity to resubmit. Be on the lookout for an email today or tomorrow (emails will only be sent to those whose quotes were not accepted).
In addition, if a student submitted more than one quote, we chose one quote from the multiple submitted.
With the resubmission process, those who missed the original deadline are now are able to submit their quote at this time.
All final submissions are due no later than 8:00 am on Wednesday, May 6th. At that time, we will include quotes that were submitted following the guidelines described in this message.
