Hello! My name is Brittany Carli, and I am thrilled to be able to work with your superstar 1st graders at Rocklin Academy Gateway this year! Before we step into a year of learning and adventure, here's a little snapshot of my educational background. I was inspired to become a teacher by my amazing grandfather who was an educator who firmly believed that all students can achieve at high levels so long as they are given the tools, support, and time that they as individuals need. This message stuck with me at a young age, and led me into the world of child development. I was fascinated by the many learning styles of our young learners and the endless possibilities of strategies to support them. I spent the duration of college studying and receiving my bachelor's degree in child development, which then sent me down the path of obtaining my elementary teaching credential, both of which I received from CSU Sacramento. This year marks my 9th year as an educator, and I am ever so thankful to get to spend it working with our fabulous families, superb staff, and superstar students!
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I grew up in Placer County, have 2 puppies named Mousse and Hershey, and 3 year old twins, Lily and Tristan's. We love to go for hikes and take trips to the park. We also love to craft, paint, and build with gears and Legos.
I am so thankful to be a part of the Rocklin Academy Family of Schools, and to be able to work with such fantastic families, students, and faculty. I strongly believe that all people can and will learn and grow, if given the opportunities and strategies that they need to be successful. With this in mind, I look forward to diving into another spectacular school year with you!
