Hi!
My name is Stacy Morrow and I am so excited to be starting my second year at Rocklin Academy Gateway. This will be my 19th year teaching and my 5th year teaching 1st grade. I grew up in Santa Rosa and went to Sonoma State University, where I received my multiple subject teaching credential.

My family moved to the Rocklin area 6 years ago, and we couldn't be happier. Before moving here, I taught 3rd, 4th, and 1st grades in the Bay Area. I took a break from teaching when we moved here and I opened an in home daycare. I loved every minute of it, but I am very happy to be back in the classroom again making connections with families and students. My husband is a teacher as well, and he teaches high school in the area. We have two wonderful children. My son starts high school this year, so that will be a fun new adventure. My daughter will be in 2nd grade at Rocklin Academy Gateway, and has loved being at the same school as me.

I love being a teacher! I knew this was the job I wanted since I was in 4th grade. Making connections with students, seeing the joy they have for learning, and creating a safe, fun environment for the students is what makes teaching so amazing.  In my free time I enjoy reading, running, talking walks with my family, and cheering my kids on at their dance competitions. We enjoy spending time with family playing cards, bbqing, listening to music, and having smores nights with neighbors in the front yard.

I am looking forward to another amazing year meeting new students, and working closely with parents, staff, and my 1st grade team. I know this year will be wonderful!
