Meyer, Emmalie » HOME

HOME

Hello! My name is Emmalie Meyer (previously Ms. Sutliff) and I am thrilled to be here for my second year at Gateway! This will be my fourth year teaching 5th Grade, and my ninth year teaching overall. I am so grateful to call Gateway home! I believe school should be a “home away from home”, where anyone who walks through our doors feels safe, loved and encouraged. It is my goal, and honor, as a teacher here at Gateway, to create a warm, inviting, safe and joyful space where students can thrive and grow this year.

I was raised here in the area in Granite Bay, and moved back right after graduating from Biola University in southern California. At Biola University, I completed my credential program and received my BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in human development.

Over the summer I got married and moved to Cameron Park with my husband. When I am not teaching, we enjoy being active outdoors with friends and family. Our latest go-tos have been pickleball, tennis, ultimate frisbee and paddle boarding. We also love listening to live music and working on DIY house projects.

I am so grateful to be a part of the Rocklin Academy Gateway family and am looking forward to connecting with all of the amazing families, staff and students that make this place a wonderful home away from home!
