Hi there! My name is Maddy Hennessey and I am so beyond excited to begin my third year of teaching here at Rocklin Academy Gateway. I graduated from Sonoma State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2021. This will be my third year teaching Kindergarten! 

Prior to this, I attended Rocklin High School where I graduated in 2016. I have grown up in Rocklin and currently live in Roseville with my fiancé and our adorable miniature dachshund, Link! When I am not at school or at home playing with my puppy, I enjoy going on long drives with my friends and hanging out with my little sisters. 

As an educator, I believe my biggest role in the classroom is to ensure that every child feels safe, valued, and welcomed. Young students will develop a love for learning and coming to school when they feel that their voice is heard and prioritized in the classroom. Along with this, I believe that by focusing on students’ strengths and assets, I can create a learning environment that allows every student to thrive.
